Science Party Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all birthday party bookings with The Crazy Scientist® Pty Ltd. By completing a booking with us, you confirm your agreement to the following terms:

 

1. Payment Options We offer three flexible payment options to suit your needs:

 

Option 1: Deposit and Scheduled Payments     

       • Pay a non-refundable $100 deposit to secure your booking.     

       • The remaining balance is then paid according to the following schedule:               

                 1. 50% of the total party cost must be paid 1 week prior to the party date.               

                 2. The final payment (remaining balance) must be paid no later than 24 hours before the party date or on the day of the party.     

      •  Payment can be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or Credit Card (CC).

 

Option 2: Full Payment at Time of Booking     

      • Pay the full party cost upfront at the time of booking to simplify the process.   

      • This option ensures all payments are handled in advance.

 

Option 3: Payment via PayPal (Pay in 4)     

      • Use PayPal’s Pay in 4 feature to split your payment into four interest-free instalments.   

      • To use this option:               

             1. Select PayPal as your payment method.                 

             2. Choose the Pay in 4 option at checkout.                 

             3. Follow PayPal’s instructions to complete the instalment plan.     

      • Please note that this option is subject to PayPal’s terms and eligibility criteria.

2. Cancellations and Rebooking Fees

I understand that circumstances can change, but rescheduling or cancelling a booking impacts our ability to reallocate time and resources. The following policies apply:

 

​• Within 24 hours of the event: 100% of the total party cost is charged. ​

     Since you have already paid 50% of the total cost as a deposit, an invoice for the remaining 50% will be issued.

 

     Reason: At this stage, all resources and preparations for your party have been finalised, and it is not possible to rebook the time slot. I kindly ask that you honour the agreement made at the time of booking, as cancellations on such short notice directly affect our ability to operate effectively.

 

​• Within 1 week of the event: 50% of the total party cost is charged. ​

     Since the deposit is non-refundable and equals 50% of the party cost, no additional charges will apply.

​

    Reason: With less than one week’s notice, resources have already been allocated, and it is unlikely we can rebook the time slot.

​

​• Within 2 weeks of the event: 25% of the total party cost is charged.

    A partial refund may be issued if your deposit exceeds this amount. Reason: At this point, some preparations and resources have been committed, but there is still some opportunity to rebook the time slot.

• More than 3 weeks before the event: No fee is charged. ​

 

    Reason: We have sufficient time to reallocate resources and fill the time slot with another booking. ​

 

• Non-Refundable Deposit: The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances because it serves to secure your booking and covers the initial allocation of resources, including planning, administration time, equipment & chemicals, and often pre-purchase of Liquid Nitrogen. By reserving your selected date and time, I must decline other potential bookings for that slot. This policy ensures I can continue providing high-quality services to all my clients. ​

 

 

3. Rescheduling Process

 

     ​• If you need to reschedule your party, I encourage you to contact me as early as possible to maximise the chances of securing a suitable alternative date.

     • Rescheduling is subject to availability, and I cannot guarantee that your preferred new time slot will be available, as bookings are often made well in advance.

     • No rescheduling fee will be charged if the rescheduling results in a successful reallocation to a new time slot. However, if the rescheduling ultimately leads to a

          cancellation, the cancellation fees outlined in Section 2 will apply.  

     • If you need to reschedule your party, please contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability, and the applicable fees outlined above will

          apply based on the timing of your request.

     • All rebooking fees must be paid at the time of rescheduling to confirm the new date.  

 

4. Refund Policy  

     • If a cancellation is made in line with the terms listed above, any refunds due will be processed within 7-10 business days.  

 

5. Exceptional Circumstances

 

    • I understand that emergencies happen. In the case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies), please contact   me directly. I will review each case individually to determine if any accommodations can be made.  

 

6. Agreement to Terms  

• By booking a party with The Crazy Scientist®, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
